U.S. - Mexico Border Prayer

Members of the Evangelical Church pray on both sides of a fence that separates Mexico from the US as part of the Mex-USA Border Prayer Alliance in Tijuana, Mexico, Friday, July 4, 2008. The initiative was coordinated by Hal Sacks and Guy Chadwick of BridgeBuilders and Arizona Legislative Chaplain Jon McHatton. Simultaneously pastors and prayer leaders from the U.S. and Mexico gathered at Tijuana/San Diego and Mexicali/Calexico and other locations.

The prayer points included: national security, drug trafficking, and illegal immigration. The event was covered by the Associate Press and the photos and story were carried by newspapers from Memphis to Germany.

I was so blessed as I looked up to watch a "sea" of people each night in worship and then to see hundreds linger into the early hours of the morning - still longing, still hungering for His presence! . . . it warmed my heart to interface with people from all over the nation! How beautiful is the body of Christ! There are numerous conferences and gatherings every year that capture people's attention, but PrayerQuake is in a class all its own.
